There are over 100 billion garments created each year, 92 million tonnes of which end up in landfill. In 2019 I happened upon a huge textile recycling factory in Gujarat India who needed a solution for their damaged / unsellable fabrics. I set off on a self funded trip to meet the owner, develop a solution and form a partnership.
We teamed up with local tailors to design / create new garments from the discarded fabrics and establish supply chains with UK & European based retailers.
As part of this I also released several capsules for my business Rerun, which spring-boarded our journey as a brand.
